about us

Little Acorns Inc. doing business as Friends of the Cape Coral Library was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the resources and services of the Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library located at 921 SW 39th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33914. The Friends raise funds for supporting programs and purchasing materials for the library that are not covered by the Lee County budget. As library advocates, our members speak out in support of local, state, and national libraries. The Friends of the Cape Coral library actively promote and support the library through programs and activities, including:

  • Book sales
  • Special fundraising events
  • Membership meetings devoted to topics of interest to library supporters
  • Guest author appearances that help build interest in books and reading
  • Public programs that provide cultural enrichment for the community

General Membership Meetings, which are free and open to the public, are held at the Cape Coral Library on a Saturday morning during the months of January, March, May, July, September and November. Dates can vary; please be sure to check the calendar. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and snacks, then a business meeting, followed by a interesting and informative presentation. Socialize with members, hear about upcoming events, and find out how you can help us make this important community resource, our library, even better.
